Maple Ginger Glazed Salmon Fillet

Ingredients:
 2 tablespoons Balsamic vinegar
 2 tablespoons sugar
 1/2 cup maple syrup
 1 tablespoon hot sauce
1 shallot, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
1 inch ginger, grated (about 1 tablespoon)
 Salt and pepper to taste

Grilled Salmon:
4 salmon fillets, 4 to 6 oz. each
 1 tablespoon olive oil
 salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

To make the glaze, add all of the ingredients into a small saucepan and place over medium high heat. Allow the mixture to come to a boil and lower the heat until just simmering. Simmer the glaze until slightly thickened (about 6-7 minutes) remove from the heat and set aside.

Heat a large non-stick sauté pan over medium high heat. Brush each of the salmon fillets on all sides with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the fillets into the hot pan and sauté on each side until cooked through (about 6 minutes per side depending on thickness).

Place the salmon on plates and brush generously with the maple ginger glaze.
