Golden Granola Bars

Ingredients:
 1/3 cup corn syrup
 1/3 cup honey
 ¼ cup vegetable oil
 2 cups rolled oats
1½ cups shelled unsalted sunflower seeds
 1 cup rice crisp cereal
 ½ cup dried cranberries
 ½ cup dried apricots, diced
 ½ cup sliced almonds

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 cake pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium saucepan, bring corn syrup, honey and oil to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

In large bowl combine the oats, sunflower seeds, cereal, cranberries, apricots and almonds. Pour syrup over top and stir to coat evenly. Pack into prepared pan, pressing firmly with your hands. You should spray your hands with a small amount of cooking spray to keep them from sticking.

Bake the granola until the edges are browned and just set (about 20 minutes). Don’t overcook, the center will still be slightly soft. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and cut into 16 bars.
